TONY FERGUSON faced fresh calls to retire from mixed martial arts after his UFC 296.<\/p>\n

The former interim lightweight champion locked horns with the Brit prospect Paddy Pimblett on the main card of a stacked UFC<\/span> 296 in Las Vegas early this morning<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Fan favourite entered the contest on the back of a SIX-FIGHT losing streak, a run which prompted many to urge the MMA<\/span> legend to hang up his gloves.<\/p>\n

And fans called for did just that after failing to stop the rot against 'The Baddy' – who beat him via unanimous decision in their Sin City showdown.<\/p>\n

One UFC fan said: "I think it's time for Tony Ferguson to retire."<\/p>\n

Another said: "Tony Ferguson plz retire bro.:"<\/p>\n

Despite his three-year-long skid, Ferguson was confident of doing a number on Pimblett.<\/p>\n

During Friday's pre-fight press conference, he said: "It's going to go the way I want.<\/p>\n

"I\u2019ve already visualized it, I've trained my ass off, I don't see this kid beating me,\u201d Ferguson said.<\/p>\n

"He's worried about me blocking him on Instagram<\/span>, sensitive little b*<\/strong>d.<\/p>\n

"Wait until you get cut, see your own blood, you're gonna run out of the cage back to mummy."<\/p>\n
