Pete Wicks has issued an in-advance apology to his mum as he admitted that he is "going to embarrass her".

The 35 year old former TOWIE star is set to bare all in the second part of the ITV special The Real Full Monty: Jingle Balls, to raise awareness about cancer. The first episode aired on Monday, 11 December, with the second airing at 9pm on Tuesday, 12 December.

He and a number of other celebrities who have been closely affected by cancer joined together to learn to dance and put on a show onstage, where they will strip off in aid of a good cause.

The class of 2023 stripping off this year include TV presenter Julia Bradbury, actress Sherrie Hewson, TV personality Gemma Collins, Dancing on Ice pro skater Vanessa Bauer, Corrie and Death in Paradise’s Victoria Ekanoye, former royal butler Paul Burrell, footballer and TV personality Ashley Cain, ex England rugby international Ben Cohen, West End star Nick Collier – better known as Ella Vaday, from RuPaul's Drag Race and Pete Wicks.

Speaking about doing the show, Pete admitted that whilst he wasn't scared to strip off, it's the dancing that bothered him the most as he has "absolutely no rhythm".

He said: "Weirdly enough I think I am the only one who said: ‘I don’t mind getting my kit off!’ I am alright with that. But the dancing puts the fear of God in me! I absolutely have no rhythm and the dancing is the big test for me. Getting your kit off is what it is."

Pete, who recently jetted off to Australia to support best pal and new King of the I'm A Celeb Jungle Sam Thompson, admitted that he's "useless" at dancing, but said that Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell is "more useless".

On whether or not his family is proud of him taking part in The Real Full Monty, Pete joked: "I think mum might disown me! I don’t think she is surprised I am doing this but I think she is surprised I am going to be dancing!

"I need to apologise to my mum in advance that I am more than likely going to embarrass her on the night of the performance!"

Pete and his fellow celebs were taught their dance routine by Diversity and TV star Ashley Banjo, who Pete said has been "amazing just to get us to a point where we look reasonably like we know what we are doing!"

He said the main motivator for him doing the show was the fact that his dad has currently got leukaemia and Pete, himself, had a "scare this year".

He went on to say: "I have also lost several members of my family to cancer."
