The crazy moment occurred late on in Sunday's LaLiga game.<\/p>\n

Struggling Sevilla fell behind to an own-goal by Marko Dmitrovic in the fourth minute.<\/p>\n

And they found themselves two down after 22 minutes thanks to a strike from Umar Sadiq.<\/p>\n

Sevilla did manage to pull one back in the 60th minute through Youssef En-Nesyri.<\/p>\n

But with just moments remaining in the match, Sociedad pounced on the ball outside Sevilla\u2019s box looking to add a third goal.<\/p>\n

Brais Mendez appeared set to pull the trigger and potentially end the contest.<\/p>\n

But he was brutally wiped out by Ramos, who came in from behind with an old-school lunge that had no intention of winning the ball.<\/p>\n

The centre-back was initially shown a second yellow card by the referee, leading to his dismissal.<\/p>\n

But a VAR check showed the tackle was so bad that it led to the decision being reversed.<\/p>\n

Instead, Ramos received a straight red card \u2014 the 29th of his professional career.<\/p>\n

And he wasn\u2019t the only Sevilla ace to be sent off either.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath, ex-Man City flyer Jesus Navas was also given his marching orders for protesting the decision.<\/p>\n

Unlike Ramos, it was the FIRST of his career \u2014 despite Navas being a year older at 38.<\/p>\n

But fans were left over the moon at seeing Ramos reel back the years to receive a straight red for one of his classic takedowns.<\/p>\n

One said: \u201cSeeing a Ramos red makes me feel young again. Tears in my eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another declared: \u201cThis is football heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n
