HARRY and Meghan's author has taken a swipe at Princess Kate, claiming she is terrified to do anything but "grinning photo ops".<\/p>\n

Omid Scobie made the claims about the Princess of Wales ahead of the release of his bombshell book – 'Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy\u2019s Fight for Survival'.<\/p>\n

Royal biographer Scobie, dubbed "Meghan's mouthpiece", smeared Kate\u00a0as \u201cpliable\u201d in the book and said that her achievements were exaggerated.<\/p>\n

And in an interview published yesterday to plug Endgame, the author\u00a0said: "The small achievements that we've seen from the Princess of Wales wouldn't perhaps be noticed if it was from another member of the\u00a0Royal Family, but with Kate it's like 'wow!'"<\/p>\n

Scobie added that "we infantilise [Kate] massively so the bar is always lower".<\/p>\n

Now, the Sunday Times reports that in Scobie's book the Princess is "portrayed as a woman terrified to do anything more than grinning photo ops".<\/p>\n

Kate, who is popular with the public, is passionate about the causes closest to her heart such as early years campaigning. <\/p>\n

Just days ago she was spotted giving a helping hand during a visit to a baby bank in Barnet, north London.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales was kickstarting an initiative from her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to provide support to families with young children in the run up to Christmas.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In his book – due for release on Tuesday – Scobie also claimed that\u00a0Kate\u00a0spent more time "talking about" her sister-in-law than actually with her.<\/p>\n

One extract states: \u201cTheir views, their outlooks, are very different, and I can see that becoming an issue over the years ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Endgame, by Omid Scobie, also attempts to portray a rift between\u00a0King Charles\u00a0and eldest son Prince William by claiming they are on a \u201ccollision course to become rivals\u201d.<\/p>\n

His bombshell book alleges that Charles is a lavish spender who makes \u201cgobsmacking\u201d demands.<\/p>\n

And it also quotes an unnamed source who reportedly says heir to the throne\u00a0William\u00a0views his dad as a \u201ctransitional monarch\u201d.<\/p>\n

Scobie describes the pair as having \u201cclashing approaches and opinions\u201d.<\/p>\n

Dai Davies, the former head of royal protection for the\u00a0Met Police, said: \u201cThis is clearly a hatchet job. I don\u2019t know the relationship between father and son but they have always seemed close to me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t trust a word this Scobie says \u2014 and where he gets his sources from is debatable.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople like this know it\u2019s very rare for the royals to comment and we\u2019ve had enough from Harry\u2019s camp for a lifetime. This is just another publicity-seeking stunt.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis sounds like an attempt to drive a wedge between the King and William.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scobie co-wrote\u00a0Finding Freedom, the sympathetic bestseller about Harry and Meghan, and has been dubbed the couple\u2019s \u201ccheerleader-in-chief\u201d but denies this.<\/p>\n

It had looked like the relationship between the Sussexes and Charles was thawing when it emerged\u00a0they spoke to him on his 75th birthday\u00a0and played a video of grandkids Archie, four, and two-year-old Lilibet singing Happy Birthday.<\/p>\n

And it was claimed that Harry and Meghan made it clear they would accept an invitation to Sandringham for\u00a0Christmas.<\/p>\n

But the leaked version of the book, which is being serialised in a French magazine, blasts Charles.<\/p>\n

It accuses him of being pampered and alleges the\u00a0late Queen\u00a0would repeatedly complain about his \u201cextravagantly luxurious lifestyle\u201d.<\/p>\n

It reports a rumour that Charles has a servant squeeze his toothpaste \u2014 but The Sun on Sunday understands that the King just needed help during a short period after breaking an arm in a polo accident.<\/p>\n

And damagingly, it alleges\u00a0Buckingham Palace\u00a0aides said before the Queen\u2019s death that Charles did not have \u201cthe moxie or the vision to be king\u201d.<\/p>\n

Scobie attacks the monarchy more broadly, calling it an \u201canachronistic, intolerant organisa\u00adtion steeped in bigotry and privilege\u201d.<\/p>\n
