Trade union bosses linked to Labour have rejected calls to cut ties with a campaign group behind pro-Palestine demonstrations \u2013 and have confirmed they will march with them on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The general secretaries of the National Education Union and Fire Brigades Union yesterday said they would join the Palestine Solidarity Campaign rally on Armistice Day.<\/p>\n
Several major unions, including Aslef, Unite and the GMB, are affiliated with both the Labour Party and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, which has defied calls from police to delay Saturday’s march.<\/p>\n
NEU and FBU bosses Daniel Kebede and Matt Wrack appeared in a video alongside Mick Lynch, head of the RMT union, which is not affiliated to Labour, to confirm they would not stand down.<\/p>\n

Mr Kebede said: ‘I’m from the NEU, and I will also be marching on Saturday, calling for a ceasefire and peace.’<\/p>\n
On Sunday he responded to calls for the march to be postponed, saying: ‘I will be marching in central London, calling for an immediate ceasefire, on November 11.<\/p>\n
‘Nearly 4,000 Palestinian children have been killed since October 7. Every one of them had a right to life and an education. No ban will turn us around.’<\/p>\n
The Labour Party did not respond to a request for comment last night.<\/p>\n
