Now MailOnline has learned that detectives\u00a0searched the holiday home of \u00c9mile&#8217;s maternal grandparents, Philippe and Anne Vedovini, who are in their 60s, on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The raid was part of an operation that saw every bit of the house examined,&#8217; said an investigating source.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Phones and computers were examined&#8230; Forensic checks also included taking DNA samples, and some objects were confiscated.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/18\/73224961-12726415-Two_year_old_mile_disappeared_without_trace_from_the_property_in-m-24_1699468385204.jpg\" height=\"756\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Two-year-old \u00c9mile disappeared without trace from the property in Haut-Vernet, an Alpine hamlet south of Grenoble, exactly four months ago\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/18\/73224995-12726415-Investigators_have_extended_their_enquiry_to_other_parts_of_Fran-a-20_1699468355935.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Investigators\u00a0have extended their enquiry to other parts of France after a thorough search of the countryside around Vernet yielded nothing. Pictured:\u00a0French gendarmes are briefed before taking part in a search operation<\/p>\n<p>Simultaneous raids also took place on properties in other parts of France, some of them linked to \u00c9mile&#8217;s extended family.<\/p>\n<p>All of the searches were sanctioned by judges.<\/p>\n<p>There was no initial comment on what was found during the raids, with judicial police simply confirming that the judicial investigation was ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9mile was officially in the care of Mr and Mrs Vedovini on the day of his disappearance, as his parents took a break.<\/p>\n<p>A witness saw Mr Vedovini, a physiotherapist-osteopath, cutting wood outside his house around the time \u00c9mile is thought to have wandered off.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;\u00c9mile was seen walking alone on the asphalt road next to the family home,&#8217; said the source. &#8216;The grandfather was cutting wood about ten meters from the child.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/18\/73229513-12726415-image-a-21_1699468358605.jpg\" height=\"594\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mr Vedovini is known as a devout Roman Catholic and strict authoritarian who brought up 10 children, including \u00c9mile&#8217;s mother, who is now known by her married name of Marie Soleil.<\/p>\n<p>The family have not commented on the specifics of \u00c9mile&#8217;s disappearance, but in an interview with Christian Family (Famille Chr\u00e9tienne) magazine last month, Mr Vedovini said: &#8216;Obviously I come across as a dominator who terrorises everyone\u2026 All of this is false, but I don&#8217;t care.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The media hurts us, but the people around us are truly extraordinary.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The political background of the family has also been examined by police.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9mile&#8217;s father, Colomban Soleil, 26, was arrested for &#8216;an attack on foreigners&#8217; who wanted to &#8216;clean out the system&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>A source involved in the search for \u00c9mile said: &#8216;You make a lot of enemies when you&#8217;re an ally of \u00c9ric Zemmour and groups like Action Francaise and Bastion Social.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>A countryside search for \u00c9mile was carried out after the little boy disappeared, but it yielded nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Lead prosecutor R\u00e9my Avon said that the &#8216;physical search&#8217; in 2018<\/p>\n<p>He said the possibilities that \u00c9mile had been murdered, kidnapped, or got involved in an accident were all being looked at.<\/p>\n<p>He confirmed that \u00c9mile&#8217;s parents&#8217; home, in the southern town of La Bouilladisse, near Marseille, was searched back in July.<\/p>\n<p>The saga evokes the BBC series, The Missing, in which a young boy vanishes whilst on holiday with his family in France, only to be killed in a hit-and-run accident after chasing a fox.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9mile&#8217;s family are all devout Catholics, and have called on people to pray to Beno\u00eete Rencurel &#8211; They have been unable to locate the boy<\/p>\n<p>The police have released a photo and description of Emile, who is almost 3ft tall, with brown eyes, and blond hair.<\/p>\n<p>He was wearing a yellow top, white shorts with a green pattern, and hiking shoes at the time of his disappearance.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Vernet have meanwhile been referring to the place as a cursed &#8216;village of the damned&#8217;
