A SON has admitted killing his mum after she was found with "serious facial injuries" at home.<\/p>\n
Suzanne Henry, 54, was rushed to hospital after the horror<\/span> unfolded in Madeley, Staffordshire, in May.<\/p>\n Her son Finn Henry was charged with murder, but this has since been dropped by prosecutors.<\/p>\n The 20-year-old's plea of manslaughter has instead been accepted ahead of a trial that was due to start yesterday.<\/p>\n He will be sentenced next<\/span> year pending a joint report from two psychiatrists.<\/p>\n Prosecutor Maria Karaiskos KC said: "The Crown is no longer prosecuting the murder allegation as a result of expert evidence from a psychiatrist.<\/p>\n "I will enter no evidence for murder when the sentence is passed for manslaughter."<\/p>\n Police were scrambled to Suzanne's home just before 10am on May 3.<\/p>\n She was rushed to hospital with facial injuries but sadly couldn't be saved.<\/p>\n Detective Inspector Adrian<\/span> Webb, from Staffordshire Police said: \u201cMy thoughts and condolences are with Suzanne\u2019s family at this deeply traumatic time.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI understand the state of shock, both in the family and the wider community, that such a tragic event has happened in the town of Madeley.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are solely focused on securing justice for Suzanne\u2019s family and making sure we do everything possible to support them through this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d like to thank all of those who have already been in touch with information and for the patience which has been shown around the cordon on\u00a0Newcastle\u00a0Road.<\/p>\n \u201cThere could still be people with valuable information that haven\u2019t come forward yet and we\u2019d urge those people to get in touch with us as soon as they can.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
