After a short struggle, he is able to get back to his feet and seemingly escape unharmed.<\/p>\n<p>Commenters responding to the online clip branded the man in the footage an &#8216;idiot&#8217; and &#8216;lucky&#8217; to be alive, while others suggested the clip could be included as one of the stunts in &#8216;Jacka** 5&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/13\/77458187-12715679-image-m-68_1699278495542.jpg\" height=\"618\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The man is seen looking out on the promenade of Dover&#8217;s Marine Parade during the height of the storm before a huge wave crashes over the railings\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/13\/77458185-12715679-image-a-71_1699278530122.jpg\" height=\"562\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The wave then submerges on the tarmac below, instantly knocking the man over in the process and sending him flying into the air<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/13\/77458191-12715679-He_is_thrown_onto_his_back_with_his_legs_seen_sticking_out_of_th-m-79_1699279143283.jpg\" height=\"586\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>He is thrown onto his back, with his legs seen sticking out of the water as he is dragged along with the powerful current<\/p>\n<p>The video recorded by Tim Smithen, who owns Rebels Coffee Shop located on Dover&#8217;s Marine Parade shows the extremities of Storm Ciaran.<\/p>\n<h3>READ MORE:\u00a0Britain braces for a WEEK of storms: Map shows how heavy rain and gale-force winds will batter the country from tomorrow through Remembrance Weekend &#8211; after Storm Ciaran wreaked havoc\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>The father-of-three, 41, said he had never seen waves this high before on the Dover seafront and said his shop and the man got a &#8216;battering&#8217; from the storm.<\/p>\n<p>Tim, from Dover in Kent, said: &#8216;I&#8217;ve never seen waves this high come over this part of Dover beach before.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;They were so high that it was bombarding the side of our coffee shop and damaged the shop&#8217;s fascia but there was thankfully no damage inside and flooding was minimal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The waves that crashed over were definitely higher than our building.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I couldn&#8217;t believe it. There were people walking around taking photos and I just thought if these waves knocked you down they could wipe you out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It didn&#8217;t seem real when we saw someone so badly knocked off their feet. This is how someone died in Scotland last week.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Another shocking video from last week&#8217;s storm captured huge waves crashing into two children walking along a seafront in Folkestone, Kent, with their father.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;oblivious&#8217; father has been slammed online after shocking footage shows waves smashing into his two children and at one point knocking one of them off their feet.<\/p>\n<p>As the enormous waves crash into the coast, the two children run off ahead as their father shows little sense of urgency to protect the youngsters.<\/p>\n<p>The children are then drenched by a wave and disappear in the footage &#8211; and &#8216;stupid&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>One user said:\u00a0\u00a0Why would you ever take your kids along there n endanger their lives.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Another fumed: &#8216;How f***ing irresponsible.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A third sarcastically hailed him as &#8216;father of the year&#8217;, while a fourth added: &#8216;Totally oblivious &#8211;
