Laura Kuenssberg returned to her flagship BBC politics show yesterday following four weeks off due to sad family news.<\/p>\n
The 47-year-old\u2019s businessman father Nick Kuenssberg died aged 80 following an illness and Victoria Derbyshire stepped in to present.<\/p>\n
She last appeared on her eponymous programme on October 1 when she interviewed Rishi Sunak at the Conservative Party conference in Manchester.<\/p>\n
Yesterday\u2019s show saw her welcome Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden, Labour’s John Healey, Arab League Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki, Succession star Sarah Snook, broadcaster Piers Morgan, Green co-leader Carla Denyer and former health minister Lord Bethell.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the show she took to X, formerly Twitter, to thank fans for their support during her absence, writing: “Looking forward to being back… thank you very much for all the kind messages in the last few weeks, and to Victoria Derbyshire for holding the fort.”<\/p>\n

Derbyshire was so much better,” while @TRexHen concurred: \u201cCan’t we have Victoria Derbyshire back?\u201d<\/p>\n @suchfun57 went on: \u201cBoo.. bring back vicky d.\u201d(sic)<\/p>\n A viewer calling himself @s*****dave4 made his feelings clear saying: \u201cI won’t be tuning in, it’s been a lot more watchable with Victoria.\u201d<\/p>\n @QuinnJ173155 aired their disappointment chiming in: \u201cShame it\u2019s not @vicderbyshire hosting.\u201d<\/p>\n @davidma62576154 stated: \u201cVictoria Derbyshire would be massive improvement over Kuensberg.\u201d(sic)<\/p>\n Don’t miss… <\/strong> <\/p>\n
