<\/p>\nTHERE are some colours and interior design trends that never go out of fashion; think Greek style for example, with bright whites, bold blues, and warm natural textures that instantly transport you to a luxurious hotel in Mykonos.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But then there are some trends that are thrust into the limelight thanks to influencers like Mrs Hinch who made lifeless grey living rooms with crushed velvet sofas fashionable for a while. <\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
Interior designer Charles Cohen said grey is one of many colours that is now outdated and explained how \u201cfive years ago, everybody wanted their walls in cool grey\u201d, but the tones chosen left the rooms looking \u201cdull\u201d and lacking in character.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Luckily, Mrs Hinch has modernised her home and chosen a sophisticated biscuit-beige colour palette, similar to that of Molly-Mae Hague\u2019s interior in her Cheshire mansion.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But if you\u2019re struggling to decide what your next<\/span> colour move should be, here are the five most popular interior design shades that are vibrant and fun, and encourage you to inject personality into your home.\u00a0<\/p>\n Due to it\u2019s connection to the natural world, blue is a colour that will never lose popularity.\u00a0<\/p>\n But next year, there is a shift from deep, powerful tones of blue, to more airy, watery shades. Think light denim blue with grey undertones.\u00a0<\/p>\n Paint supplier Sherwin-Williams said: "For the next year, it's all about creating tranquil spaces, respite spaces, but done in a really beautiful, soft, breezy colour blue.\u201d<\/p>\n Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute agrees that blues will have a major moment in 2024, and suggested livelier shades like teals and aquas will be popping up everywhere.<\/p>\n Bringing the outside in has always been a winner when it comes to interior design and muted greens aren\u2019t going anywhere next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Nature-inspired hues give off a calming quality that everyone can find comforting.\u00a0<\/p>\n But earthy tones are not the only popular shades, deep greens are making a comeback.\u00a0<\/p>\n Barbie make pink<\/span> cool again but in 2024 it needs to be paired with reds for a fresh new look<\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Shades of baby and blush pink will still be popular, as well as earthy-pink.\u00a0<\/p>\n Ruth Mottershead from Little Green, the paint wallpaper company told Veranda: "As we see the shift to warmer stone colours as consumers move away from cold greys, we also predict a natural transition towards earthy pink.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n After all that talk about bold and bright, on the opposite end of the spectrum<\/span>, rich and deep colours will be at the forefront of interior design next year, as they balance light shades.\u00a0<\/p>\n From rich chocolate browns to interesting blacks and forest greens, high-contrast colours will be important to balance the brightness of pinks and yellows. Think of it like the yin and yang factor.\u00a0<\/p>\n These two bold colours might clash if not carefully put together, but if planned and executed well, you will have a luxurious room with big impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n Electric Amber is said to be the colour of the year in 2024 and it is a \u201cpowerful, orangey-brown shade named for the ancient glossy tree resin that glows translucent, emanating light as if powered from within\u201d.<\/p>\nBring back the blues\u00a0<\/h2>\n
