Sandro Farmhouse had addressed rumours whether the Great British Bake Off is an honest depiction of what viewers see on television.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the TV chef and content creator shot to fame last year when he stormed his way to the final in the Bake Off tent.

One year on, Sandro has lifted the lid on his experience on the Channel 4 baking programme.

A former Great British Bake Off star claimed that producers “stir up trouble” during filming in the tent.

When asked about this, Sandro said: “No I doubt that very much. It’s not about that.”

After Matt Lucas departed the show, he’s been replaced by Alison Hammond. Does Sandro approve of her?

“Alison’s great. I mean, she’s so funny. She brings a different dynamic to the show,” he said.

Don’t miss…

We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. That makes the show just that even more exciting to watch.”

When he was quizzed if he would prefer to be on this year’s series, Sandro made it very obvious.

“No,” he replied. “I just love my group so much. This group seems nice, but I can’t see not doing it with my group of people.”

Since the Bake Off final, Sandro has been keeping himself occupied with a new initiative.

He has founded Baking On The Spectrum (BOTS), a programme designed to empower families with children on the autism spectrum.
