Brooke Burke reflected upon her successful 2008 run on Dancing with the Stars on ABC, describing her partnership with\u00a0Derek Hough as “magical.”<\/p>\n

The TV personality also candidly admitted she ended up “crushing on Derek\u201d after resolving the initial strains in their relationship.<\/p>\n

Brooke made some candid confessions while speaking with fellow\u00a0DWTS\u00a0alum\u00a0Cheryl Burke on the latest episode of the\u00a0Sex, Lies and Spray Tans podcast.<\/p>\n

Initially, the actress was not completely sold on her dance partner and found him \u201cyoung and green\u201d, but her thoughts soon changed when the pair got to work.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI just thought [Derek] was so young and green and safe. I had no idea he would be such a powerful, bada** choreographer.”<\/p>\n

At the time, Brooke was married to actor David Charvet, but she admitted to Cheryl, “had I not been married… I would have actually hoped we would have had a love affair.”<\/p>\n

She confessed: \u201cI don’t think I’ve ever said that,” before doubling down on her statement and explaining why she believed there could have been more than a dance partnership.<\/p>\n

The TV presenter insisted: “I would have had an affair with him. But listen, let me tell you why: You are intertwined with someone’s body when you’re not a dancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no way that I have ever been so connected \u2014 besides with a lover or a husband \u2014 than I was with Derek. And it’s every single day.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo for three months, you are in someone’s arms. Why do you\u00a0think people fall in love?\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooke went on to claim that dancing sometimes could be \u201cmore intimate\u201d as she recounted her experience dancing with Derek.<\/p>\n

She told the podcast host: \u201cYou smell them, you feel them, you’re breathing with them. It can be more intimate than making love in a bedroom \u2014 you’re making love on a dance floor, you feel more connected.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you have energy, you’re doing this dance and you’re in the rhythm, and then there’s trust, then you’re sharing fear, you’re doing something you’ve never done.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow many times do you go through an experience with someone where they’re all you’ve got?”<\/p>\n

The new season of DWTS has seen Britney Spears’ sister Jamie-Lynn getting eliminated recently, while the show paid tribute to the late, great judge Len Goodman.<\/p>\n
