We\u2019re thrilled you finally made it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, I know,\u201d she responded. \u201cI was pregnant last time and they said, \u2018No it [the wheel] goes too fast\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alex wasn\u2019t exaggerating when she explained why she hadn\u2019t appeared.<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE: <\/strong> <strong>Bradley Walsh left red-faced after embarrassing tumble during Blankety Blank<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/20\/590x\/secondary\/Alex-Jones-4986118.jpg?r=1696014862545\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/20\/590x\/secondary\/Michael-McIntyre-4986116.jpg?r=1696014862597\"><\/p>\n<p>The show sees a contestant at the centre of a wheel answering questions on a category they choose.<\/p>\n<p>A celebrity helps them but instead of choosing who they want, the wheel decides as it does a dizzying spin, which could have been detrimental to Alex while she was expecting.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite her genuine reason, Michael still decided to try and goad her saying: \u201cYou say last time [series three]. We\u2019ve got a hit show ladies and gentlemen.\u201d His remark was greeted by loud cheers from the studio audience.<\/p>\n<p>Alex appears on tonight\u2019s show alongside other celebrities and as part of the game, each one is deemed an expert on a certain subject.<\/p>\n<p>Alex claims to be an expert on CBeebies, Paralympian and Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Simmonds on swimming, TV presenter Paddy McGuinness on karate, Good Morning Britain\u2019s Ranvir Singh is an expert on politics, podcaster Rosie Ramsey is an expert on musicals, and comedian Seann Walsh is an expert on Batman.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the aforementioned Sue Perkins is fittingly an expert on cake given that she was one of the original hosts of Great British Bake Off alongside her friend Mel Giedroyc.<\/p>\n<p>As well as presenting the show Michael created it and it has become a huge hit. An American version launched in December 2022 but was cancelled in June this year.
