I would have kept my mouth shut tighter than I ever had before, and I\u2019m also an honest and empathetic person.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The fact that he only gave her $20 after makes it so much worse.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Others agreed, writing &#8216;Seriously. That is life-changing down payment on a house money. And $20 is just a slap in the face\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I was expecting him to at least split it with her or something. But no this isn\u2019t rage bait this legit happened and I think about it all the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;She\u2019s very much into \u201ckarma\u201d and other people needing stuff more than her etc. so she genuinely didn\u2019t regret giving it back but I absolutely wouldn\u2019t have.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>She also later came back with an update that she had spoken with the man&#8217;s partner since he won the money, and revealed that supposedly &#8216;the guy ended up blowing it at casinos in the area&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Redditors replied &#8216;They are an idiot and the guy tipping her $20 after is such a slap in the face. Wow&#8217; and &#8216;That\u2019s so dumb, there\u2019s no reason for her to give it back, it\u2019s legally hers after he gave it to her.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Another user added &#8216;this is why I will never provide lottery tix as a gift, Christmas present or related.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>However, others could empathise with the bartender, arguing that it would have been hard to keep the $50,000 win a secret when she opened it in front of the customer.<\/p>\n<p>Someone wrote &#8216;Could you really keep your composure after realizing you won $50,000?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Another chimed in with &#8216;She sounds like a good-hearted &amp; honest person.
