Paramount’s Nicole Clemens, Imagine Documentaries boss Sara Bernstein and Severance <\/em>producer Nicholas Weinstock are among the first tranche of speakers for this year’s MIA market in Italy.<\/p>\n

The Rome-held confab, which takes place in the week prior to Mipcom, has also added Skybound Entertainment’s Animation Studio boss Marge Dean and Waltz with Bashir <\/em>writer-director Ari Folman. <\/p>\n

Clemens lead the lineup. She is President of Paramount Television Studios (PTVS) and Paramount+ Original Scripted Series, with shows in the offing including Taika Waititi’s Time Bandits <\/em>and Billy Crystal’s Before, <\/em>both for Apple TV+.<\/p>\n

Bernstein runs the docs business of Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine, while Weinstock is the Founder and President of Invention Studios, with past credits including Apple hit Severance <\/em>and Showtime’s Escape at Dannemora.<\/em><\/p>\n

The American execs will speak at a difficult time for the industry, with the dual Hollywood strikes impacting sectors around the world. <\/p>\n

Others to be added include Folman, and Banijay’s James Townley, who is the super-indie’s Chief Content Officer Development and will keynote on the development and creation of unscripted IP and the acquisition of formats.<\/p>\n

Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks along with the full program. MIA has been running since 2015 and is directed by Gaia Tridente. This year’s confab will take place from October 9 to 13.<\/p>\n
