Winnipeg police and first responders were on scene over the lunch hour at Kelvin High School Thursday.
The Winnipeg School Division said the school was not locked down.
“There was an incident at Kelvin High School that police have responded to,” said division spokesperson Radean Carter.
“The school is not in a hold and secure or lockdown. You’ll have to contact police for more information on the incident.”
Winnipeg police said they were called to the school at 11:31 a.m. for a report of an assault, but had no immediate further information.
