Here's what you need to know about Amy Gerard and the latest in the missing persons case.
When did Amy Gerard go missing?
Amy Louise Gerard, 28, is an animal trainer who lives in Puerto de la Cruz in the north of holiday island Tenerife.
She was last seen outside the Molly Malone Irish bar in the town on Thursday night after celebrating a birthday with pals, her family say.
The Brit, also known as Amy Louise Docherty, left the bar at 12.20am with a man described as her boyfriend but has not been seen since.
Her disappearance is "extremely out of character for Amy", according to an appeal by The Lucie Blackman Trust, which supports Brits in crisis overseas.
Worried colleagues called police on Friday when they did not hear from her, and she was officially reported missing on Saturday.
One workmate said: “What’s happened is very strange. She was fine at work and gave no indication anything might be worrying her.”
Relatives including her mum Julie and sister Chloe have flown to Tenerife with Chloe’s fiance Mike Dolan. They are handing out flyers appealing for information.
Mr Dolan, 35, said on Sunday: “Amy wasn’t a big drinker. She had to be in good shape for her work so she just didn’t do the party lifestyle.
“We’ve ruled out the idea she might have come out the pub the worse for wear and fallen somewhere on her way home because that was just not Amy.
“We’re not exactly sure at the moment what police are doing but we know they’re taking it seriously and are looking for her and trying to find out what’s happened.”
On Monday it was reported an emergency helicopter crew was searching in the sea off the north Tenerife coast.
Amy, from Grimsby, Lincs, works as a whale and dolphin trainer at Tenerife marine theme park Loro Parque.
Photos on social media show her puckering up to a dolphin and playfully pulling faces with a sea lion.
What has Amy's husband said?
University grad Amy is believed to be still married to estranged husband Ryan Docherty, who lives in the UK.
He has also shared appeals for information online.
He said in one post: "Please share and help to spread the word. This beauty has been missing since late Thursday evening in Puerto de la Cruz.
"Although we are not in Tenerife we can possibly reach someone that knows something!!!!"
Friend Tonette Smith said: “Amy has been missing since Thursday midnight. She loves her work and is grounded, she is not flighty.
“Amy is beautiful inside and outside.”
Laura Mumby said alongside a photo of Amy on a missing poster: “If you or anyone you know is going to Tenerife or the Canary Islands soon, please keep an eye out for Amy who has been missing since Thursday.
“We are all very concerned. This is so out of character.”
