Trump fans unveil ‘biggest EVER’ Trump 2020 flag and place it over controversial BLM mural at Trump Tower in NYC – The Sun
14th October 2020

DOZENS of Trump supporters gathered outside Trump Tower on Tuesday to unveil what has been dubbed the largest flag sporting the president.

The project, named "Operation Flag Drop" on Facebook, saw Trump supporters completely cover the Black Lives Matter mural outside the president's former home with a 75ft-by-50ft flag.

Those present chanted "Four more years!" and "Whose street? Our street!" as they made their way through Manhattan.

Written on the flag were the words "Trump: Law and Order."

The show of support started at Trump's Fifth Avenue building at 3.30pm, before making its way through to Times Square.

Trump's son, Eric, took to Twitter to thank the supporters, writing: "We love all of you so much! If I was there today (I’m campaigning in Michigan and Minnesota) I would come down and give you all a big hug.

"Happening RIGHT NOW in NYC in front of Trump Tower!"

Many of the supporters wore Make America Great Again caps and Trump 2020 t-shirts – but few opted for face masks to protect from the coronavirus.

Attendees could also be seen live streaming the march, as well as sharing videos and photos on their social media accounts.

Once the group had reached Times Square, they played "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra.

Earlier in the day, cops responded to an incident in Washington Square Park, where a smaller Trump 2020 flag was removed from the park's famous archway, as campaign paraphernalia is not allowed on public structures.

According to the New York Post, the flag appeared overnight and was hung roughly 25 feet up.

Tuesday's march comes after around 100 vehicles made their way down Fifth Avenue on October 4th, bring traffic to a standstill as many cheered and waved Trump 2020 flags.

Supporters that day were reportedly from Suffolk County, Long Island.

On Tuesday, Trump continued his campaign for president with a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
