Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday debuted a new webpage that effectively replaces his Twitter handle.

The site,, launched with a promotional video declaring itself a “beacon of freedom” and “a place to speak freely and safely” after Trump was purged by Twitter.

The site contains recent statements from Trump, who was booted from his preferred social media platform after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

There’s a sign-up list for people who wish to receive alerts when Trump posts a new message.

Although Twitter permanently banned Trump, Facebook and Instagram are evaluating a decision to freeze the ex-president’s accounts following the riot, which disrupted certification of President Biden’s Electoral College victory.

It’s unclear if the new Trump website will be a permanent or temporary workaround to reach his supporters. Since Jan. 6, his statements generally are released in email blasts.
