Kent Police arrested Ben Lacomba this morning and are currently carrying out a search of her property in New Ash Green.
The mum-of-five disappeared from the home she shared with Mr Lacomba on October 9.
Mr Lacomba, 38, was arrested and held for three days in October before being released pending further investigation.
They shared the home in New Ash Green for the sake of their three children but she had secured a mortgage to buy him out.
Her new partner Neil James, 45, said her need to live with Ben forced their own relationship to end briefly this summer.
But they reunited and planned to wed in Guildford with another ceremony in Majorca – where Sarah once lived with Mr Lacomba.
Sarah, 46 — who police believe may have been murdered — has not been seen or heard from since disappearing from her home.
Her car was left at her house and there have not been any transactions on her bank or credit cards. The 47-year-old's phone is also said to be missing.
Police have searched woodland, a section of the River Thames and land near the Bluewater Shopping Centre as part of their search.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Detectives investigating the disappearance of Sarah Wellgreen have re-arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
"Following information received by the investigation team, a further search of a property in New Ash Green is being carried on 20 December 2018.
"The man, in his 30s, was previously arrested on 16 October in connection with the investigation."
