Lamborghini supercar worth £280,000 DESTROYED in M62 motorway smash that saw driver walk away with minor injuries
24th December 2018

The supercar was written off as it careered off the wet M62 in Hutton near Liverpool yesterday morning causing traffic chaos.

Shocking pictures show the mangled car with its bonnet hanging off in a grass verge with debris strewn across the road.

But incredibly, the driver managed to escape with just minor injuries following the smash at around 1pm yesterday.

Cops raced to the crash were forced to slam ghoulish drivers as they slowed down to get a glimpse of the wrecked Lamborghini.

Merseyside Police tweeted: "M62 EB between J5 – 6 has a lane 1 closure due to a minor injury RTC.

"Please give us some space as you drive past as revving your engine and shouting at us won't speed up the reopening process!"

Around 1.9 million journeys took place yesterday with people rushing to get to family and friends before Christmas Eve.

Some drivers were hit with travel chaos as they headed out to the shops or to spend time with their families.

Traffic is expected to peak again today at around lunchtime as Brits rush to garb last minute goods before the shops close.
