John Kerry is accused of farting during climate speech where he asked for coal power plants to be eliminated

  • During an impassioned rant on the use of coal in the world, former presidential candidate John Kerry emitted some gas of his own

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate John Kerry is facing accusations that he broke wind during one of his patented climate change rants that he delivered in Dubai after traveling to the Emirate via a gas guzzling jet.

Kerry, 79, was in the process of telling the audience that ‘the climate crisis and the health crisis are one and the same’  on Sunday while bringing up a study that states coal ‘doubles the numbers of deaths’ compared to other types of pollutions, when he delivered what sounded like a bottom burp.

‘There shouldn’t be any more coal-fired power plants permitted anywhere in the world,’ Kerry added while saying that he’s become more-and-more ‘militant’ over the issue in his old-age.

His remarks were met by a round of applause from the crowd, which apparently muffled the fart sound however it was picked up by the microphones and could be heard clearly during the broadcast.

Kerry was speaking in his role as the Biden administration’s climate envoy at the UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai.

Kerry was sat in between Becky Anderson, Managing Editor of CNN Abu Dhabi and Fatih Birol, Executive director of the International Energy Agency, when the incident occurred

Anderson could be seen placing her hand over her mouth, close to her nose after the noise was heard

After the sound is heard, the person sitting next to Kerry, Becky Anderson of CNN Abu Dhabi, clearly puts her hand over her mouth.

Far right activist Laura Loomer joked on X: ‘The woman next to him looks like she want to choke on his toxic gas emissions.’

Right-wing radio host Larry O’Connor of Townhall Media told the New York Post that he was outraged by Kerry’s apparent flatulency.

‘The biggest problem is, during this entire exchange, representing us, The United States of America, he ripped a fart out.’

‘He let loose with flatulence on an international stage. He should lose his job immediately. John Kerry farted,’ O’ Connor said.

Kerry also announced that the U.S. was joining the Powering Past Coal Alliance, which means the administration commits to building no new coal plants and phasing out existing ones.

It’s in line with other Biden regulatory actions and international commitments in the works that had meant no coal by 2035.

Earlier Saturday, U.S. climate envoy John Kerry joined French President Emmanuel Macron to push for development of nuclear energy, which doesn’t produce greenhouse gas emissions, even if it also presents security and waste challenges.

During his time in Dubai, Kerry met with his Chinese counterpart, Xie Zhenhua, to discuss the coal issue. The US and the Communist nation are the two biggest emitters of coal in the world.

Kerry has long been criticized for his use of airplanes when going around the world to lecture about the dangers of climate change.

In July, Sen. Joni Ernst told DailyMail.com during an exclusive interview that it’s a ‘sign of full hypocrisy’ to have the Biden administration’s Climate Czar John Kerry ‘jetting around the world in an airplane.’

Ernst, R-Iowa, said Kerry’s trips violate ‘all kinds of fossil fuel, flames and emissions’ standards that he criticizes everybody else for.

‘So I think that the climate czar needs to stay home focus on his green energy policy.

‘So instead of demonizing fossil fuels, let’s focus more on pushing back against China,’ which is a huge threat to the U.S., Ernst continued.

At a hearing before a House Foreign Affairs oversight subcommittee in June, Kerry defended himself saying it is an ‘outrageously persistent lie’ that he has ever used a private jet to conduct official trips.

Kerry, who did not deny in the hearing ever flying on a private jet and has said he’s flown on one ‘possibly once,’ insisted that he personally has never owned a private jet.

‘We don’t own a private jet. I don’t own a private jet. I personally have never owned a private jet.’

However, the Kerry family owned a personal jet – a Gulfstream GIV-SP – that was sold in 2022.
