A FOOTBALLER raped a woman during a game of Truth or Dare after boasting he turned down a place on Love Island, a court heard.
Joseph Regan, 22, claimed he was "better looking" than most of the boys on the dating show before allegedly attacking the woman.
The court heard the goalkeeper, who played for Cardiff Corinthians, persuaded the woman to let him go back to her house.
Once there, he orchestrated playing drinking games including Truth or Dare so the alleged victim would have to drink, it was said.
Jurors heard dares included the pair exposing themselves as they became more sexual in nature.
The woman allegedly told Regan "just so you know, there's like no intention that way" to make clear she was not interested in anything sexual.

But prosecutor Matthew Roberts said: "Ultimately, from dogged persistence, he simply did not take no for an answer despite being told repeatedly to stop what he was doing."
The pair later went to the bedroom to watch a film but Regan insisted on continuing the game, the court heard.
He then allegedly launched into a sex attack despite the woman telling him: "Just stop, just stop".
She later told police: "I felt his weight on me, he's not particularly small, and I just lay and thought 'What the f*** is this?'.

"He rolled me over onto my stomach applying his weight onto me. The moment I felt it I freaked and got as much strength as I could and said 'Get off me, I told you I didn't want it to get to this point, why have you completely ignored this?'."
The woman said she offered to pay for an Uber to get rid of Regan and claimed she was tired but he allegedly refused to leave.
He then forced her to perform a sex act on him before she confronted him, the court heard.
Regan allegedly told her: "No this wasn't my intention all along, I just got lucky with the fact you lived on your own and I could go back to your house and watch Love Island with you."
The keeper later denied having sex with her but claims all other forms of sexual contact between them was consensual.
He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault by penetration.
The trial at Cardiff Crown Court continues.
