Yellowstone season four has arrived on Paramount Network and the premiere episode wasted no time in throwing fans back into the deep end. Continuing immediately after the events seen in the season three finale, the Duttons are fighting to regain control. However, viewers noticed a new title card in tribute to Allan Robert Murray and Milt Bradford, but who were the men behind the names?

At the end of the pilot episode, fans saw two names appear on screen, with a tribute title card dedicated to the two men.

Both Murray and Bradford had roles to play in crafting the beloved Yellowstone universe.

They both worked behind the scenes and played integral roles in the production of the series.

Their differing contributions assisted in creating the show fans love, but sadly both men passed away ahead of the season four premiere.

Allan Robert Murray

Murray was a famed Sound Editor that worked on a wide variety of projects throughout his storied career.

Sadly, he passed away earlier this year at the age of 66, though the family has not revealed the reasons for his passing.

He was a regular contributor to Clint Eastwood and his projects, working on films such as Escape from Alcatraz and American Sniper.

In 2020, Murray earned himself his 10th career Academy Award nomination for Joker.

Milt Bradford

Bradford was a horse auctioneer who provided a great deal of insight into the history and geography of the Dutton family ranch region.

He sadly passed away at the age of 71, though specific reasoning for his death has not been announced.

Bradford’s insights helped ensure the authenticity of the series for which it has become famed.

Knowing the region well, much like showrunner Taylor Sheridan, Bradford was able to get the details of the locations correct.

As a major television production, Yellowstone hired countless behind-the-scenes staff to bring the show to life.

Over the years the cast and crew have grown, making Murray’s and Bradford’s contributions all the more important.

The Yellowstone universe is set to grow even more now, with the release of the first of two spin-offs just around the corner.

1883 will premiere on December 19 and serve as a prequel to the main show.

Charting the foundation of the Dutton ranch, the show will take viewers back to the old West.

This will be exclusive to Paramount Plus though, meaning fans in the USA will need to sign up to the subscription service to catch it.

There are two subscription packages, the first is $4.99 and includes commercial breaks.

The second is $9.99 and removes all commercials from the platform.

Yellowstone season 4 airs Sundays at 8pm on Paramount Network in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
