THE GQ Awards are back and will see a host of A-list stars come together to celebrate the Men of the Year.

For the 2021 event the magazine has hired a husband and wife duo to host the ceremony.

Idris Elba and wife Sabrina Dhowre are the hosts of the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

Organisers have promised the awards will celebrate "those who have shaped the world’s cultural landscape in style, entertainment and sport throughout 2021".

In a joint statement the married couple said: "We are excited to host this year’s GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2021 in London.

"In their various ways, the GQ Men Of The Year award winners have kept all of our spirits up throughout one of the most difficult years and we are very much looking forward to celebrating with them – and hosting a great party!"

How long have Idris and Sabrina Elba been married?

The happy couple met back in 2017 at a jazz bar in Vancouver when Idris was filming, The Mountain Between Us, alongside Kate Winslet.

He said in an interview with British Vouge that it was “love at first sight,” and since meeting they have “been literally inseparable since.”

Following their 2017 encounter, Idris later popped the question at an East London theater on February 10, 2018.

“Still 5 days to Valentines Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie,” the theater said in a tweet following the event.

The two were engaged for over a year before tying the knot in April of 2019.

The couple have one son together who was born in September 2020.

Idris also has two other children from previous relationships.

The actor also has an 18-year-old daughter, Isan, and a 6-year-old son, Winston.

When are the GQ Awards 2021?

Men Of The Year Awards 2021 in association with Hugo Boss will take place TONIGHT (September 1, 2021).

Nick Sargent, publishing director of British GQ, said: "After the unprecedented year we’ve had, I’m thrilled to announce the return of the GQ Men Of The Year Awards for 2021 as a live event.

"Even though our virtual event last year was a huge success, it’s exciting to be able to come together again in person to celebrate the incredible talent who best represent GQ and continue to push the boundaries on the world’s cultural stage.
