STEVE ALLEN is a familiar voice to fans of his LBC radio show.
But his listeners were left disappointed on August 19, 2021, after he was missing from his show.
Where is Steve Allen and why isn't he on LBC?
Steve Allen hosts his morning show from 4am until 7am on Sundays to Fridays.
The early morning slot involves discussion of stories from the day's newspapers.
Steve also slots in personal anecdotes and gripes about daily life.
On his show on August 18, 2022, he talked about hospitals in the US and ran a competition for a car.
He also talked about the weather and the lack of rain, as well as an incident with an ice cream.
Steve moaned that his two scoop vanilla ice cream collapsed as soon as he purchased it and splattered on the pavement.

Electric cars, sea pollution and Mariah Carey were all on the agenda, with Steve saying that the singer was NOT the voice of Christmas, that was Bing Crosby.
But the radio presenter did announce that he would miss his Friday morning slot on August 19.
He told listeners: "I'm not here tomorrow, because I've got to go and do a speed awareness course, so somebody's got to do it."
Steve added that he would let people know he coped with the course on Monday, August 22, 2022.
He added that the speed course probably wouldn't change him.

Steve is the longest serving presenter on LBC.
He joined LBC – which originally stood for London Broadcasting Company but is now tag-lined as Leading Britain's Conversation – at the start of the 80s.
He began as presenter of the Night Extra programme.

When LBC was separated into two stations – 1152 AM and 97.3 FM – he hosted the afternoon show for London Talkback Radio and Saturday Night Out.
He is now of course best known for presenting the early breakfast show from 4am until 7am.
In 2021, Steve quashed rumours that he was leaving the show.
