Holly Willoughby tonight braves her first EVER Bushtucker trial – taking on the wind, water cannons and giant bouncing balls of the infamous Celebrity Cyclone.
The presenter joins Scarlett Moffatt, Joe Swash and Joel Dommett on ITV2’s Extra Camp tonight at 10.15pm to take part in the trial, which is among viewers’ favourite tasks.
It consists of climbing up a hill carrying a giant foam star to a certain point while being hit by high pressure water cannons, gail-force winds and giant balls.
All four contestants need to be in their correct positions on the hill at the same time to complete the trial and Holly is shown in a pink headband struggling to cling on to her giant yellow star.
Over on the main show viewers will also see John Barrowman, Emily Atack, Harry Redknapp and Fleur East take part in the trial, 24 hours before the series finale.
Adventurous host Holly has stood in for Ant McPartlin this year alongside Declan Donnelly, but before a U-turn this week insisted she would not do any trials before she flew out to Australia and is scared of many of the jungle bugs, snakes and spiders.
She attempted to do a Bushtucker trial on This Morning in mid-November when she put her hands into boxes to identify what was inside. But even though it was quite a soft challenge she screamed a lot and Dec joked: “She was worse than Gillian McKeith! What the heck are we in for!?”
Asked what was your worst trial on the eve of the show starting this year, Holly said: “The eating one, I could never do it, I would come out with zero stars and let everyone down.
I think if I look at a spider in a tank that’s absolutely fine but if one comes out of a tank or is on a celebrities back after a Bushtucker Trial then I’m not going to like that.
“I think I’m going to have a problem with smells also as Dec keeps telling me that cockroaches really stink. I’m going to be useless during the eating trial, I don’t even like it if someone eats with their mouth open.”
