When she is not playing Charmaine Roberts on the Netflix show Virgin River, Lauren Hammersley is off fixing up her home in Nova Scotia. The Canadian actress recently bought a fixer-upper that she has been renovating all by herself while sharing the process with her fans on Instagram and TikTok.

Earlier this week though, something went wrong and the Virgin River star shared a picture of an injury on her hand to her social media.

“When you stab yourself with something but you’re in the groove and you don’t care,” she wrote in the caption.

The photo saw her left hand bandaged up with some tissue paper and yellow electrical tape.

Her worried fans were quick to send her well wishes in the comments.

“Ohhhhh Nooooo,” said one fan, as many others commented “Ouch” and a sad and crying emojis. (sic)

“First aid like a Grip,” typed another person.

Recently, another post of her home improvement efforts left fans in stitches.

Sharing her humorous side with her fans online, she posted a picture of her house in a messy state with the caption: “I swear this is not an episode of hoarders.”

“This is when someone with #ADHD buys a house and does everything in the wrong order,” she added.

Fans saw the funny side of the error and shared words of support to the actor.

“There are no rules [laughing emoji],” one fan joked, while another wrote: “You need to dust! [laughing emoji].”

A third person suggested: “You can do a movie about fixing the house they tape in reverse order so that’s no problem haha [laughing emoji].”

Others praised Hammersley for her DIY efforts away from filming for Netflix.

“As long as you’re enjoying it, it’s the right order,” a further viewer commented.

One more added: “It’s coming along fine and will be awesome when you finish and reflect on your accomplishments.”

“This looks like it’s gonna be an awesome place!! keep up the hard work,” added someone else, while another weighed in: “I give you credit for taking it all on, you are awesome.”

Meanwhile on Virgin River, Charmaine is faced with a very different challenge.

She is currently pregnant with Jack’s (played by Martin Henderson) twins while he seems to already have one foot in the grave as he was found with a gunshot wound by Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) in the season two finale.

Is Jack going to survive? And will he be supporting his ex with the newborns?

While there is no set release yet for season three, the new episodes are sure to answer all these questions and pose even more mysteries.

Virgin River is available to stream on Netflix now.
