4th December 2020

I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! were forced to undergo some major changes to the final episode due to coronavirus restrictions.

Fans rejoiced as Giovanna Fletcher was crowned Queen of the Castle after a close final, with Radio 1 DJ Jordan North coming in second place and Family Fortunes star Vernon Kay in third place.

However, there were some major changes to show had to undergo for the final.

The former King or Queen usually passes their crown over to the new winner.

Fans expected to see last year's winner Jacqueline Jossa give Giovanna the crown, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, she was absent.

This meant Vernon Kay broke the show's tradition as he crowned Giovanna the winner.

Also, all of the campmates usually join the final stars in the studio as the winner is announced, but this year the celebrities were there via video call.

This year I'm a Celeb broadcasted from a new location for the first time, as the show was unable to do the show in Australia due to lockdown.
