Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) has had an incredibly tough year in EastEnders, but things have finally started looking up for the young woman. However, she’s going to get some big news in the coming episodes — the question is: is it good news or bad?
After getting in with the local drug pushers last year, Tiffany found herself at the beck and call of smooth-talking ring leader, Evie Steele (Sophia Capasso). However, with Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) help, she was able to leave that harrowing period of her life in the past — but not before she revealed to her uncle that Fraser (Shanu Hazzan) had raped her.
Although she made every effort to move on, she ended up offending best friends Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) and Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) — the latter of whom she’s developed feelings for — which made her question if Walford is really where she belongs.
As a result, she decided to leave but, as she bid adieu to her family, Keegan showed up at the tube station to profess his feelings for her in heartwarming scenes. Tiffany ultimately decided to stick around and — with everything that transpired over the last few months finally behind her — the young woman is ready to start anew, but — in upcoming scenes — she’s set to get some big news.
Yes, the day of the GCSE results arrive and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) and Jean (Gillian Wright) do their best to show the young girl their support as she opens her results.
But how has she done?
After all of the heartache she’s endured, it would be great for Tiff to get some good news, but considering her mind has understandably been elsewhere this year, could her school work have perhaps suffered as a result?
Has she got the grades she needs?
