The Chase’s Jenny Ryan fires back as troll brands her ‘fat b***h’ in cruel rant
1st March 2021

The Chase quizzer Jenny Ryan told people to “be kind” after being targeted by a nasty troll about her looks on Twitter this weekend.

The Twitter user messaged the Chase star's account saying: “You’re a pompous arrogant fat ugly b**ch. You are the worst chaser.”

Jenny's account fired back a sarcastic response on her behalf stating: “Thank you for your message. You seem like a decent chap which obviously gives you the right to body shame and demean women.

“Your loved ones must be really proud of you!”

However the troll did not learn their lesson, responding: “I make my parents proud every day thanks.

“Unlike Jenny’s, they must be repulsed by her smug arrogant behaviour."

Jenny shared a screenshot of the message alongside a message, calling the bully “rude” and asking people to be more considerate of others.

Using the hashtag made famous by Caroline Flack’s death, Jenny responded: “Your periodic reminder to #BeKind. Bots aside, we're all human beings behind the keyboard/touchscreen.”

Her fans soon swooped in on her tweet to show their love and support for the redhead.

One response said: “The only ugliness here is in that toxic comment, please know that you are an inspiration to so many.”

Another said: “Why feel the need to message a celeb that you dislike them? For every hater there are thousands of us who adore you.”

Jenny thanked her supporters for sticking by her and for those who choose not to message her hate.

Revealing that she has to employ an administrator to protect her from the worst of the abuse she is sent from fans, Jenny addressed her followers in a tweet.

She tweeted: “Thank you to everyone who supports me, including those who do so quietly! And thanks to the people who dislike me but choose *not* to write to me telling why (in detail) – your silence is appreciated.”

She tweeted another message from one person in response to show that she does also receive love from twitter fans.

The fan wrote: “Hey Jenny! Nearly 10:30pm here in Perth WA and felt the urge to message you and let you know that you are so bloody beautiful, intelligent, and talented.

“Such a massive inspiration. Keep doing what you're doing, you’re making the world a brighter place for it!”

The Vixen joined the Chase in 2015 after fellow Chaser and quiz team player, Anne Hegerty recommended her.

Her nickname was given to her by host Bradley Walsh because of her fiery red ponytail and chosen because “vixens are notoriously clever and cunning”.

The Chase continues on Monday at 5pm on ITV.
