Sunday Brunch: Tim and Simon introduces guests at start of show

Sunday Brunch viewers have claimed the Channel 4 programme reached a “new level of awkward” this morning.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to speak out and complain about the “cold” guests.

Hosts Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy were joined by Joe Wilkinson, Alfie Boe, Leah Brotherhead, Chris Harris and Zoe Wees.

But moments into the live broadcast, many watching at home were remarking on them being “hard work”.

Some even urged the stars to “try and be more friendly” as the presenters asked them questions.

A third continued: “#sundaybrunch What a shocking show it is today, more than normal.”

Many blamed those who had agreed to appear, and one post quipped: “Are the guests on some sort of industrial action? #SundayBrunch.”

A fifth said: “#sundaybrunch these guests are hard work, like pulling teeth. Come on Mr Bow et Al try and be more friendly. @SundayBrunchC4.”

“It’s a very very cold room today. #SundayBrunch,” another viewer went on.

One tweet joked: “Today’s show is like a family Christmas that no one wanted to go to.”

Another viewer called for stand-in host Miquita Oliver to return, following her previous appearance last year.

They claimed: “They need Miquita back she’s would bring out the best of younger guests. #sundaybrunch.”

Thankfully some appeared to be enjoying the broadcast, particularly in relation to chef Simon’s latest culinary creation.

They shared simply: “Those ribs look nice #sundaybrunch,” in regards to his Korean-inspired offering.

This time last week Sunday Brunch viewers were left underwhelmed by the show’s hyped-up indoor firework display in the studio.

They assured everyone that everything they were using had been cleared for indoor use as they all donned safety goggles.
