Emma Barton was left red-faced on tonight's It Takes Two after Zoe Ball's name blunder.

The Strictly Come Dancing finalist appeared on the final show of the series with professional dance partner Anton du Beke.

But things got awkward when Zoe seemingly accidentally referred to Emma as 'Honey', which is her character's name in EastEnders.

The present said: "And you Anton are never going to forget Honey. First tens. Look at you. Only your second final. What has this lass brought to you this series?"

Anton's eyes lit up, having seemingly noticed the gaffe, but he quickly changed the subject to his skin tone.

The tanned dancer joked: "Well it's made me go a different colour. I'm alarmed. I don't think I should have worn a white shirt."

Rylan joked: "Me and Zoe look like Casper."

Getting back to the question, Anton said: "I've had the most remarkable, brilliant time with Emma. There's nothing more rewarding than being able to dance with somebody and see them improve and get so much joy from it.

"The way we developed, we look like a proper dancing couple. That takes a lot of time. That is a testament to Emma really being the most wonderful partner to spend time with and work with."

Emma then tried to hold back the tears after watching an emotional video message from her family and friends.

The actress received messages of support from her sister-in-law Maria, brother Andrew, parents David and Penny and her niece and nephew.

"Look what you've done to her," cried Anton as Emma burst into tears.

She said: "They've loved every minute. I'm so pleased they've been able to come every week.

"My beautiful niece and nephew have found a love of dancing as well. They send me videos of them doing it. It's just amazing.

"And from people we don't know the messages we get on social media are amazing. I didn't realise how lovely people are."
