Bobby Brazier on his first week of Strictly
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Brendan Cole has speculated EastEnders star Bobby Brazier could make the final of this year’s competition, but warned he needs to overcome one hurdle.
Pondering this year’s possible finalists he said: “If you’re looking at the final, without seeing anybody down to knowing what they are going to be like – Nigel Harman, Bobby Brazier… who seems like a little puppy dog and I think people will quite like him bouncing around.”
However, he warned the 20-year-old EastEnders star’s journey to the final was conditional on a couple of things.
“If he pulls himself together and does some beautiful stuff, then he could go quite far,” Brendan told Sky Bingo.
Brendan, 47, was the first ever pro to lift the glitterball trophy with his celebrity partner, newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky and appeared in 15 series of the Saturday night BBC show from its launch in 2004, so he is well placed to discuss the show.

Bobby and his partner Dianne Buswell will take to the floor for the first of the live shows this weekend but the National Television Award winner has confessed that it could go “really badly”.
On Wednesday’s instalment of This Morning, the pair spoke to hosts Dermot O’Leary and Holly Willoughby about their upcoming debut.
“I think it’s either going to go really well or really badly!” Bobby admitted, hedging his bets.
Dianne burst into laughter at Bobby’s response as she agreed with the EastEnders star.
His professional partner admitted Bobby only knows one style of dance at the moment so that’s what they’ve decided to start the competition with.

“That particular style I think suits Bobby very, very, well. I think it’s the opposite of what he thought he’d be really good at,” she teased.
According to the latest odds, the bookies have put Bobby as the frontrunner for the series with odds at 3/1.
This leaves him not far behind BBC star Angela Scanlon at 4/1 and Layton Williams at 5/1.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6.15pm. Brendan Cole was speaking to Sky Bingo.
