Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left emotional as Will Mellor and Nancy Xu performed their final dance after becoming the 11th couple to be eliminated from the show.
The pair showed off their close bond as they hugged intensely before dancing together to Simple Minds' Don't You Forget About Me, as Will then placed a hand on either side of Nancy's face and held her head to his.
They were then joined by the rest of the Strictly contestants who hugged them in tear-jerking scenes.
Fans of the show rushed to Twitter to comment, as one wrote: "Watching Will and Nancy dance at the end of @bbcstrictly was like watching a really sad break up dance at the end of a disco. They were so sad they couldn't even fake being happy and that is the most real thing I've seen on there for quite a while."
Another tweeted: "Will and Nancy. Stop crying!!!!! I don't have enough gin," as a third added: "Nancy crying has broken me, I’m so gutted for her and Will."
A fourth wrote: "That was really heartbreaking, seeing Nancy & Will cry. I love Fleur but they deserved to be in final more, they would have had more of a chance #Strictly ".
Coronation Street actor Will became the latest celebrity to leave the show after losing in a dance off to singer and radio DJ, Fleur East.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas all opted to save Fleur and her partner Vito Coppola, who performed the Charleston to Tu Vuo’ Fa L’Americano by Fiorello, whilst Anton Du Beke voted to save Will and Nancy.
When asked for his final words, Will said: “I have to thank you all for giving me this chance to put a smile on my mum’s face, she deserves it.
“I’ll take whatever I have learnt from this show forward in whatever I do because it shows you can achieve more than you think.
“I didn’t think I’d be able to get anywhere near this and I am so proud of what we have achieved but also everybody who has voted for me, who has supported me, the messages I’ve had from my local community and children.”
His professional dance partner Nancy Xu also said during Monday’s show: “I really wish I could make more memories with you and your family.”
The remaining four couples – East and Coppola, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez – will take to the dancefloor next week for the final.
Strictly Come Dancing: The Final will air live on Saturday at 7.15pm, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
