Hamza Yassin penned a sweet tribute to Strictly Come Dancing, and his dance partner Jowita Przystal, after he returned for one last dance during Saturday's launch show.
The Countryfile presenter, 33, took home the coveted Glitterball trophy last series after being paired with dancing pro Jowita, 29, and returned to Salsa once more this weekend.
Following his performance, Hamza took to Instagram, where he shared a snap of himself and Jowita training.
He penned the caption: "Can you believe it’s been one year since we had our first dance and that tonight will be the last time we dance together. What a year it has been.
"Thank you Jowita for everything you taught me, you've changed my life. We had an incredible time together learning all your beautifully choreographed routines, I wish I was back in the studio again this year.
"It was an absolute blast and a real pleasure to be your student."
He continued: "I hope this years strictly will be even more fun and I will be here supporting you and your new dance partner every step of the way.
"Hopefully one day we will get the chance to dance again. Sending you my love and energy for the year ahead. One last time, for old times sake, 'Will you count for me?' @jowitaprzystal @bbcstrictly"
During his appearance on the show, Hamza became emotional as he said that Strictly was "the best thing" he'd ever done.
Taking to social media while the show aired fans shared their sadness that this is last time they'll see Hamza and Jowita dance together, while others suggested that perhaps Hamza should win this year's Strictly too.
One wrote: "it feels illegal that this is the last time we’ll ever see hamza and jowita dance together #strictly"
"Hamza bought us so much joy on #Strictly last year. Charming, talented and humble. The Strictly fandom love you @HamzaYassin3!" added another. While a third penned: "What if, and hear me out, we just gave Hamza the trophy again #Strictly"
For the new series, Jowita has been paired up with Jody Cundy CBE.
As the pairings were revealed in Saturday's episode, host Tess daly asked Jody: “You are an eight time gold medal winning Paralympian. You started off swimming, then you made the switch to cycling so I’m thinking Strictly easy peasy for You?!"
To which Jody replied: ‘I’d like to think so, but I don’t think it’s going to be. I’m a complete newbie at this, I had years and years of practice at the other ones so we’ll see what happens…let’s shoot for the stars!”.
