The TV presenter posted a video on Instagram of her daughter watching the BBC One show the pair fell in love while filming.

She shared an emotional message with her followers, talking about how special it was to watch the programme with her child for the first time.

Stacey wrote: "NO I'M NOT OKAY! First time I’ve been home for Strictly and legit Minnie loves it.

"I feel so emosh. Her little face watching her Daddy’s show.

"For every parent that messaged us when we did the show….NOW I GET IT, it’s a different show through your baby's eyes."

However, some followers criticised Stacey for letting her daughter sit so close to the telly.

The Strictly winner already knew the criticism was coming when she made the post, and had a quick comeback ready.

She wrote: "Also. Don't @ me. She crawled over that close (tele on the floor cos we’ve just moved).

"She won’t be there for long before you tell me she shouldn’t be that close etc."

Fans rushed to the comments to back her up, saying that it must be difficult to be a mum as a celebrity when people watch your every move.

One person sympathised saying: "My little one walks up and stand in front of the tv!!!! Haters gonna hate babes – ignore! We can’t all be perfect! You’re doing great."

Another agreed: "Do you know what that was the first thing I thought. That people would say that. You’re a good person and good mum. You don’t have to explain yourself to the Karen's of this world."

A mother jumped in: "My son watches all of his tv that close. Ignore the perfect parents out there."
