Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) is struggling in the aftermath of her attack in Emmerdale.
Recently, after a night with Bernice (Samantha Giles) and Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy), Nicola decided to head home early.
But in a multi-storey carpark, Nicola was approached by a group of teenage girls, mugged, and brutally beaten.
In hospital, as Nicola recovered, Jimmy (Nick Miles), Laurel and Bernice all assumed Nicola had been attacked by a man.
As the aftermath continues, Nicola is really suffering and when she hears a knock at the door, it’s clear she’s fearing her attackers have returned.
When Bernice enters, a shaken Nicola hides how she’s really feeling.
Conversation soon turns to work on the council, and Nicola is thrown when Bernice suggests she makes the pitch for the Green Initiative.
Once Bernice leaves, Nicola is left on her own again and starts to feel like a prisoner.
Terrified about being on her own, Nicola does her best to keep Rodney (Patrick Mower) from leaving and then rings Bernice, asking for her to come over and help with the presentation.
With Nicola distracting herself from the problem, this will no doubt cause her fear to increase even more.
How long will it be until she seeks help and speaks to someone about the attack?
