Sherif Lanre axed from Love Island for 'inappropriate incident in hot tub'
14th June 2019

Sherif Lanre was kicked out of the Love Island villa for masturbating in the hot tob, Celebs Go Dating star London Hughes has alleged.

Taking to Twitter, London shared: ‘I got told by a tv exec that Sherif got kicked off of #LoveIsland for w**king in the jacuzzi.’

Sherif’s exit from the villa shocked fans and neither ITV nor the 20-year-old chef addressed his reasons for leaving.

Masturbating in the villa is against the rules of the TV show; there has been no suggestion that this is the reason Sherif left.

Sherif has kept himself relatively underground since returning from Mallorca, only taking to social media on Wednesday to touch on the drama that now surrounds him.

‘Thank you to everyone including my friends and family for the support I’ve come back to,’ he began to his 284,000 followers.

‘I appreciate you all and hope I provided some good, positive moments during my time on Love Island, and for anyone wondering, I’m all good.’

In true Sherif style, he added: ‘#ItIsWhatItIs #BiggerThingsToCome.’

Breaking news of Sherif’s sudden exit, a Love Island spokesperson shared a statement, which read: ‘After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.’

The reality star – who was coupled up with Anna Vakili – added: ‘In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.

It is thought, however, that he’s been keeping his silence in order to land a team to get him the big bucks to spill all and start reaping the benefits of Love Island fame.

‘Sherif has been meeting with some top agents today and he is hoping that they will be able to guide him in getting the truth out there,’ a source told The Sun Online.

‘He is desperate for viewers to know what really happened and to stop the speculation – he wants to tell the full story and explain his side of things.’

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
