Watch the trailer for I'm a Celebrity South Africa
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns this week and the new series has the distinct difference of being set in South Africa’s Kruger National Park, instead of the Australian jungle. It will also see the celebrities compete to be crowned “Legend” of the jungle, instead of King or Queen.
Fifteen of I’m A Celeb’s most iconic and most loved campmates are returning to compete in the All Stars series, and two of them didn’t exactly get on when they last appeared on the ITV show.
Back in 2010, Shaun Ryder and Gillian McKeith had quite an explosive relationship, to say the least. The two got into several blazing arguments during their time in camp.
Who could forget Shaun telling hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly: “If Gillian was my wife, she would be in pieces in a plastic bag, deep in a hole in the back garden.”
Viewers also saw them row when they were forced to be in freezing cold water together.
“You’re a f****** irritating woman,” Shaun roared as Gillian responded: “You say nasty things all the time… your tone, everything. The way you speak to everyone.”
Upon leaving the jungle, Gillian told Ant and Dec that she and Shaun had a “love-hate” relationship.
She continued: “Sometimes we would get on good but other times I was just frightened.”

Gillian wasn’t initially part of the nine celebrities believed to be appearing in the All Stars series. Six “surprise” campmates, including Myleene Klass and former winners Georgia Toffolo and Joe Swash, as well as Gillian, will be joining as unexpected additions.
A source has told The Sun: “Having Shaun and Gillian sharing the claustrophobic space in camp again is likely to spark another fallout which could be even more spectacular than their previous encounter.”
“It means weeks of discomfort for them, but compulsive viewing for fans of the show who love to see some serious tension.”
So, fans will need to wait and see how the two get on this time around.
Gillian isn’t the only person who has clashed with Shaun. He and former model Janice Dickinson don’t get off to the strongest start in the initial episode, which airs tonight.
In their first challenge, the two new campmates along with fellow contestant Paul Burrell are tasked with battling snakes and cockroaches, with Paul screaming out in terror as he attempts it.
As Paul struggles with the task, Shaun laughs. This reaction immediately angers Janice, with her snapping: “Stop laughing, you pig!”
Janice continues to make an off-camera dig at Shaun by saying: “I’ve just met two campmates and they seem to be such nice guys. I wish I knew who they were.”
I’m A Celebrity South Africa starts tonight, Monday 24th April, on ITV at 9pm.
