Lorraine presenter Ranvir Singh but her co-host Kate Garraway on blast after the blonde bombshell suffered an embarrassing blunder live on-air.

During Monday’s visit to the ITV studios, the raven-haired beauty welcomed viewers back to the show for the first instalment of the week where she discussed the top headlines of today.

But things quickly derailed when the 56-year-old broadcaster threw the show over to Ranvir, as she accused her of being late to work.

Before Ranvir opened the show, Kate asked: “Morning Ranvir, I got a missed call from you about 20 minutes ago which panicked me slightly.

“I thought is she going to say ‘I’m not making it in?’ but you’re there which is good,” she added.

It was at this point that Ranvir revealed that there was quite the panic backstage because they couldn’t find her phone while she was presenting the morning show.

She explained: “I’ll tell you what happened Kate. I walked into the building, and everyone was in a panic because they couldn’t find your phone apparently you’d lost it.”

Ranvir added: “So they said to me, ‘Has anybody got Kate’s phone?’ and Helen in the dressing room said, ‘Ranvir, you’ve got Kate’s number, ring it!’

“So I thought, ‘Well I haven’t got anything else to do’ [so I called you]” as Kate screamed: “Oh no” as she hid her face in embarrassment.

The mum-of-two added: “I know, I don’t like to let slip that I'm quite high maintenance” as Ranvir reassured her: “Listen, we are all here in service of you and we love it, we love it” before she signed off with a salute.

Later on in the show, the presenter welcomed former Strictly Come Dancing star Greg Wise onto the programme who revealed he is in touch with Channel 4 broadcaster Krishnan Guru-Murthy ahead of his appearance on the show.

He confessed: "I don't know how he's working at the same time, he's flying to Taiwan for 10 days soon too.

"He told me that he is quite fit and he's been stretching but Strictly is a whole other thing, I don't know how he's going to do it all."

Fans will have to stay tuned to see how the broadcaster will tackle the challenge of competing on the show while also managing his work obligations.
