Pete Davidson has pals, as he engages in a war of words with Kanye West.
With Pete and Kanye publically feuding, trading barbs and accusations on social media, the comedian's friends and co-stars at Saturday Night Live are rallying to his aid.
While walking the red carpet at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards over the weekend, SNL star Bowen Yang told Entertainment Tonight Pete's late night family is focused on giving Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend some space.
"I think he’s just, you know, figuring it out, because I think a lot is out of his control, in terms of people's responses."
"I think he’s just getting back to his comfort and I think that is the best thing he can do," Bowen said.
"We are all thinking about him, and we love him so much."
KIM KEEP AWAY
Kim obviously cares about her new man as well, and is reportedly not a fan of Pete having a face-to-face with her estranged husband, especially after their recent social media spat.
Pete's pal, Saturday Night Live writer Dave Sirus, posted the furious text message exchange between Kim's man and Kanye on his Instagram page on Sunday.
The comic blasted Kanye for posting about Kim, 41, and told him to "grow up" before sending a selfie of him between the sheets, claiming he was in bed with the star.
In the bizarre exchange, he then switched to telling Kanye he would help him with his mental health issues, and offered to meet up at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where he stays while visiting Kim.
Kanye instead invited him to his Sunday Service, but Pete, 28, refused.
A source has now exclusively told The Sun: "Kim would rather keep Kanye and Pete as far away from each other as possible, she doesn’t really want them meeting face-to-face because she's worried it could be a total disaster.
"She let Pete blow off some steam and have his say at the weekend after weeks of Kanye slamming him on Instagram, but is keen to keep this behind closed doors.
"Kim has had enough and will respond from time to time but she does not want to give energy to a constant back-and-forth on social media."
The insider continued: "Her family is worried Kanye is truly losing it lately, they still have love for him, but they are angry by how he's acting towards Kim.
"They are all focusing on the kids, and trying to shield them from the drama, but they fear it's going to get worse before it gets better, especially when The Kardashians show airs next month."
Pete has been noticeably absent from recent episodes of SNL.
The King of Staten Island star is currently in New Jersey, filming a new horror project from director James DeMonaco titled: The Home.
In the film, Pete stars as Max, a young man who works at a retirement home and slowly discovers a sinister secret among the caretakers and the elderly residents.
Pete's also getting ready to go where few men have gone before: Outer Space.
On March 3, 2022, Page Six reported that Pete Davidson is close to finalizing a contract with Blue Origin.
A source close to Davidson told Page Six: “Pete is excited. They haven’t signed a contract yet, but it looks like it’s going to happen. The details are being finalized."
