The sixth and final season of Lucifer is almost here, with just over a week before the last ten episodes arrive on Netflix. In the run-up to one of this year’s most anticipated releases, new cast member Scott Porter has teased a major revelation about his character Detective Carol Corbett in his new Twitter post.
Lucifer season six star Scott Porter has hinted his character could uncover a huge secret as he shared some new details on Twitter.
The supporting star was introduced as a potential love interest for CSI Ella Lopez (played by Aimee Garcia) towards the end of last season.
He’ll now be playing a major part in the final round of adventures for the devil Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and his girlfriend/partner Chloe Decker (Lauren German).
With just over a week to go before the series finally returns, Porter recently took to social media with the first details of Carol’s role in the coming outing.
“10 days until this team-up!” the actor teased on Twitter.
“My character, Carol Corbett, is a bit by-the-book and definitely thrown by Lucifer (who wouldn’t be), but he’s gonna get the job done regardless.”
His post was accompanied by a screencap of the new season featuring Lucifer and a pistol-wielding Carol in the middle of a tense altercation.
Although plot details are slim, his cryptic post could provide a clue for a huge revelation coming in season six.
Porter’s description of Carol being ‘thrown’ by Lucifer could mean he’ll eventually discover the eccentric Brit is actually hiding a devilish secret.
Lucifer’s strange mannerisms are certainly off-putting enough already, but the majority of the LAPD have acclimatised to his presence just fine.
With the promise of an uneasy dynamic between the new double act, Porter may uncover Lucifer’s Biblical identity sooner than fans expect.
Additionally, Lucifer’s angelic brother Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) will also be joining the force for season six.

If Carol has his head screwed on, it shouldn’t take him too long to figure out he’s been working with two otherworldly beings.
Viewers should also take his role as a potential boyfriend for Ella Lopez into account.
As there are only ten episodes left of the beloved series, it has been widely speculated Ella will unmask Lucifer’s true identity at some point before the finale.
If Carol and Ella do indeed pair up, it’s unlikely the trustworthy forensic specialist would want to keep such an earth-shattering revelation a secret from her new partner.
In the comments of Porter’s new post, one viewer theorised: “Maybe Ella will clue him in on Lucifer’s unconventional, yet effective, ways.”
Ella could be told the truth herself, or Lucifer’s evil sister Rory (Brianna Hildebrand) could clue her in, leading to some devastating consequences for the group.
With these theories in mind, Carol certainly has a lot to live up to if he’s to become an official member of the Lucifer family.
Lucifer season 6 will be released on Friday, September 10 on Netflix.
