The sixth season of Lucifer brought the smash hit Netflix series to an astonishing conclusion. Although the show’s continuation has been ruled out for now, some viewers are desperate for more celestial adventures and have proposed a new spin-off starring Brianna Hildebrand’s Rory.
‘Lucifans’ have suggested a spin-off series starring Rory and Charlie could be the perfect way to continue the devil’s legacy.
Season six released on Netflix earlier this month, bringing the story of Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) to a close.
However, many fans still aren’t satisfied with the fantasy drama bowing out after just shy of 100 episodes.
Although series lead Tom Ellis and the rest of the main cast won’t be coming back for more, viewers think newcomer Brianna Hildebrand has the star power to head her own spin-off.
One fan revived the speculation in a recent Reddit post as they proposed a time-travelling romp centred around the daughter of ‘Deckerstar’.
User Delta-0099 posted: “What are the odds of a spin off program following the adventures of Rory and Charlie.”
They went on to suggest the potential standalone could take inspiration from the likes of Doctor Who and Quantum Leap.
Rory’s arrival in season six introduced a thrilling new element to the already fantastical Biblical drama; time drama.
Thanks to her angelic powers of self-actualisation, Rory developed the ability to leap backwards in time and returned to the present day.
She made a stand against her own father for abandoning her, but Lucifer and Rory eventually bonded before he returned to Hell.
The post continued: “Rory [would be] learning to control her time travel abilities but oftenly loses control of said abilities.”
By the end of season six, Rory is still stuck in 2021 as she was unable to manifest the ability to travel forward in time.

However, if Hildebrand returns to the role, her character could gradually develop into a time-travelling hero in her father’s absence.
The actress, previously known as Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the Deadpool films, also indicated she’d be willing to reprise the character.
She recently told the Wrap: “Wow, I haven’t thought about that.
“That would be really fun, though. I would definitely be down to do that.”
“I really enjoyed being Lucifer’s daughter. It was really fun.”
The series finale also revealed Charlie’s angelic wings, much to the delight of his celestial father Amenadiel (DB Woodside).
The pair could make for a compelling TV duo, but fans will just have to wait and see if Netflix or another platform takes them up on the idea.
Lucifer seasons 4-6 are available to watch on Netflix. Stream seasons 1-3 on Amazon Prime Video.
