Kim destroyed by Caleb in disaster in Emmerdale as dark future is predicted?
30th January 2023

Caleb Milligan’s (William Ash) arrival in Emmerdale has been greeted with very polarised reactions by the villagers.

His shared history with Cain (Jeff Hordley) and his actions in getting involved in Kyle (Huey Quinn)’s court case have led to Cain absolutely loathing him. The rest of the Dingles, meanwhile, have warmly welcomed the new member of the family.

Elsewhere, Kim Tate (Claire King) instantly recognised that Caleb is a man of means who knows his way around horses and she was keen for him to invest in her stud farm. Seeing an opportunity to get even more embedded in the life of the village, Caleb was equally keen.

In Monday’s (January 30) episode, Caleb arrived at Home Farm to seal the deal with Kim. One person who was most definitely not pleased to see him was Will (Dean Andrews).

Earlier, Caleb had broken up an altercation between Will and Sam (James Hooton) as Will continued to insist that Sam had stolen his valuable watch. Caleb stuck up for Sam as a member of his family.

Back at Home Farm later, Will was humiliated when Kim told him to apologise to Caleb for his earlier behaviour and he accused her of not supporting him. He said he didn’t trust ‘that clown’ Caleb.

‘I don’t think you should be doing business with Caleb,’ he said. ‘He’s just another one of them, isn’t he?’ jerking his thumb in a general Dingle direction.

Kim said he was letting his pride get in the way of a good business venture.

‘I’ve seen first hand what he’s like,’ Will insisted. ‘And you will live to regret getting involved with him and you’ll want me to fix it.’

Kim’s main focus was on her broken friendship with Lydia (Karen Blick) so she wasn’t particularly interested in what Will was saying. And Kim doesn’t really listen to anyone else when it comes to matters of business anyway.

But could Will be right? Is Caleb pursuing a secret agenda to take Kim’s business away from her? Could her livelihood and even her future at Home Farm be at risk from the newcomer?

Emmerdale continues Tuesday January 31 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
