Kerry Katona snubs I’m A Celeb return and explains why she’d be ‘s*** this time’
7th November 2022

Kerry Katona has slammed the idea of ever returning to I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The popular ITV show has already announced it will be showing an all-stars version of the programme at a later date – and fans thought the 2004 Queen of the Jungle would have been a great fit.

When talking about her upcoming career plans exclusively to the Daily Star, Kerry candidly said: "I've got lots and lots of TV coming up.

"So much TV that I've just finished filming a TV show which I did for a month, that comes out next year.

"I finish this book tour then I'll go back to panto until next year but I've got so much TV next year it's ridiculous."

But would she return to I'm A Celeb? Apparently not…

"No, I've done it already, so why? I've already done that one and I've already won. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, why try and recreate something that was so amazing? The older I've got the more fear I have, I'd probably be s*** this time."

Kerry also argued that Ant McPartlin was treated totally different from her during their sobriety journeys.

The Atomic Kitten star slammed the "double standards" and described them as "horrifying" as she looked back over the years.

Kerry ranted: "I absolutely adore Ant and I think his journey is amazing but I feel like us women we get a hard choice.

"Whereas eight months later, he was getting awards, where I'm on This Morning slurring my words due to bipolar medication and my career was almost over. What the f***?

"This is him per se, it's nothing to do with Ant himself, it's society and that's how it is in f***ing TV."

She also talked about this in her new book, Whole Again, and said: "Look at Ant McPartlin, he’s had his demons and they’ve been well-documented.

"He crashed a car after drinking alcohol and took time out to attend rehab. But he had so much sympathy in a way I didn’t and was back on TV within a few months…

"But put me on TV, slurring my words because of the medication I’m on to treat a verified medical disorder and people are calling for social services to get involved. The double standards were horrifying. One rule for one and all that."

Kerry Katona: Whole Again, published by Mirror Books, is available from high street stores, supermarkets and Amazon now.
