John Barrowman was known for his expressive positivity during his time in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
But it wasn’t all plain sailing for the 51-year-old actor, who admitted that there were times when he felt down – and one particular moment that "rubbed him up the wrong way".
Appearing on This Morning today via video link, he said that the show had been "nothing like [he] had expected".
"I had never slept in a tent before," he said excitedly. "It was a whole new experience for me.
But he added: "I love making people happy, I like seeing people have a good time. But there were times when I felt down."
Thankfully, Emily Atack was on hand to help him feel better: "When I saw Emily I knew we’d get on because I saw the naughty look in her eyes… she was my diamond in the rough and she kept me going and I kept her going."
He added: "Emily is going to be a part of my life for a long, long time."
"There was only ever one moment when something rubbed me up the wrong way," John told Holly and Rochelle, adding that he didn’t like it when change was "thrown in front" of him.

Asked whether it was Noel Edmonds’ sudden appearance in the jungle, he confirmed that it was.
However he managed to talk to Anne Hegerty about how he was feeling and took himself out of the situation for a day, which he said allowed him to learn something about himself.
"Emily said to me, ‘I thought I lost you there’ but I just needed to take a day out," he said.
Once the interview was over, John revealed that he was about to head to the wrap party.
"I’m going off to have an espresso martini," he grinned.
Phil then referred to their interview with a tipsy Holly earlier, quipping: "We spoke to holly live earlier and she’s at least 12 margaritas ahead!"
