JEDWARD have left their fans in tears with a heartbreaking tribute to their late mum following her death from cancer.
Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on the Irish Late Late Show, the 28-year-olds spoke of their grief at no longer having their mum Susanna around following her death last year.
"Our mum, five years ago, found out she had leukaemia and kidney failure in the same day," said Edward Grimes, one half of the singing duo.
"It was all a bit too much. The thing about it was that mum kept living her life.
"We were there when she passed and were able to hold her hand. We listened to Fleetwood Mac."
Edward's twin John added: "It's very disheartening to think she won't be at our weddings, won't meet our kids, but we always keep her spirit alive."
The brothers then dedicated a moving rendition of REM's Everybody Hurts to Susanna.
The performance left fans in tears, with one tweeting: "Thank you for talking about important issues. Their performance was so emotional I’m still crying."
Another penned: "I’m literally crying John and Edward were so wonderful in the interview and that live cover dedicated to momma Jedward got me so emotional I felt it omg have so much love and respect for our angels."
The 2009 X Factor contestants' latest emotional interview comes as they have recently attacked people on Twitter for not wearing face masks.
They recently slammed 'idiotic' Jim Corr, a performer in Irish band The Corrs, after he backed ignoring face mask rules.
After Jim shared footage from the protest on Twitter and expressed his support, Jedward called him out to their 600k Twitter followers by referring to one of Jim's hits.
They wrote: "G’wan leave the whole country 'breathles' from Covid because of your idiotic behaviour @Jimcorrsays [middle finger emoji]".
