GUTTED Olly Murs has revealed why ITV's Starstruck has been axed.
The Olly-fronted Saturday night entertainment show saw wannabe performers dress as their favourite artists in a modern day twist on Stars In Their Eyes.
Amateur singers belted out classic tracks in front of a star-studded panel featuring Beverley Knight, Shania Twain, Adam Lambert and Jason Manford.
Speaking to The Sun at the National Television Awards, Olly explained: "Presenting is something I have always loved doing. Starstruck was amazing but that isn’t coming back.
"I am gutted it is such a great show. In this game, things change so quickly. The ratings did really well but in terms of money and stuff like that, it just didn’t work."
The winners of each of its two series walked away with a whopping £50,000 prize as a result of their pitch perfect singing efforts.
