Emmerdale viewers were relieved when baby Theo, David Metcalfe's son with Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein) was finally mentioned after seemingly going missing for weeks.
After discovering that his son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) had been secretly sleeping with his ex-girlfriend Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), David (Matthew Wolfenden) was left heartbroken.
Horrified over his son's actions, David decided he couldn't bear to be in the village for a while and hot-footed it to London to see his daughter Amber, whom he shares with Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).
During David's exit episode, fans were quick to pick up on the fact that there was no mention of where Theo would go – whether that was with David to London or staying with Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop).
What's more, when David said goodbye to his dad and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), it appeared there was no children's paraphernalia or even a car seat, prompting many to panic over what had happened to the often-absent child.
Finally, days later, the case of the missing Theo was addressed, and he was even mentioned twice in the space of a few minutes.
First, Brenda tried to encourage Eric to get into the festive spirit and ready for Christmas despite experiencing a worrying tremor in his hand.
Brenda said: "I know David and Theo won't be there, but Leyla popped in and invited you and me to join her and Jacob for Christmas Day."
Later on, Victoria and Jacob were talking in the shop about the fact that he still hasn't managed to tell his grandad Eric that they're a couple.
Anxious about how to approach the situation, Jacob commented that he's already "ruined" his dad's Christmas with him and Theo going away.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans couldn't believe it had taken so long for poor little Theo to be remembered.
"Theo mention, he did go with David #emmerdale," one fan said.
Another person posted: "They have suddenly remembered Theo! #emmerdale"
"Throwing in a few ‘Theos’ to make up for the fact they left him behind #emmerdale," a third observed, while a fourth said: "So the invisible Theo did go with David #Emmerdale"
"Theo mentioned so they remembered him then #Emmerdale," a fifth commented.
As another viewer added in confusion: "Brenda saying about Theo? Have they forgotten him?? I'd call in social services as David didn't take him? #Emmerdale"
Elsewhere in the Dales, Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) caved and told his uncle Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) that Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) knew where her sister Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) and baby Reuben had disappeared to.
Ignoring Matty's desperate advice to stay quiet, Mack instantly made a plan with wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to go and hunt Chloe down.
Emmerdale continues weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV
